Our best branded videos of 2019

Dan Linstead , 13 December 2019

It’s been a fantastically busy year for the Immediate Media video team, in which we’ve managed 43 shoots across 35 projects for 12 different clients.

With numerous edits involved in many of them,  in all we’ve delivered a blockbuster 204 videos this year (take a bow, senior video editor Lucy Sharp). From repeated trips to sunny Cornwall, to animations about biodiversity and Bristol’s carbon-neutral future, we’ve seen plenty of variety in the past 12 months. Plus we moved into our brand new purpose-built studio in central Bristol. Here are some of our top picks from 2019…

English Heritage

The Making of Tintagel Bridge

Much like the bridge itself, this video was a long time in the making. Representing multiple visits to Cornwall to cover the construction of Tintagel Castle’s new aerial footbridge from mid-2018 up until August of this year, this documentary was one of our proudest achievements – and a worthy companion to an epic and beautiful feat of engineering.

RSPB

What’s nature got to do with the climate crisis?

The RSPB wanted to highlight how biodiversity can affect climate change, but in a manner that focused on birdsong. Instead of using music, we made use of the RSPB’s vast library of bird sounds to form a soundtrack from the natural world, while using a time-lapse to show the impact that increasing urbanisation can have.

ChangeGrowLive

Strategy and Values

ChangeGrowLive is a charity with a big mission: to help people change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential. The organisation was rebranding, and wanted to share its new corporate strategy with staff in a compelling way. Our approach was simple: interviews with staff on a plain white background.

Bristol City Council

CityLeap Energy Project

Bristol’s bold plan for carbon neutrality by 2030 includes many facets, from public transport to heating. Needed on a fairly quick turnaround, and requiring an interview with Bristol’s Mayor, the CityLeap project was challenging but highly rewarding, especially taking into account the subject matter.

Cineworld

The Cineworld Guide to The Terminator

From a day’s filming with five presenters, we created months of content for our client Cineworld, covering off some of the biggest franchises in the world. This series also showcased an important new edition for 2019: our fantastic new studio, making the entire shoot comfortable and stress-free.

We’re hard at work on lots more exciting projects for 2020. If you’d like us to look at a brief for you, we’re all ears. Get in touch.
