Announcing our new central Bristol office & video studio – all welcome

Dan Linstead , 16 May 2019

After nearly 20 years in our current offices, Immediate Media’s Bristol division is about to embark on a very exciting new chapter, as we move into new custom-designed premises in the very heart of the city.

In mid-June we will be moving all of 200 metres into Eagle House, an art deco building on Colston Avenue, overlooking Bristol’s Cenotaph and close to the harbourside. The building has been redesigned from top to bottom, to create a flexible, highly collaborative working environment. It will also feature new state-of-the-art video, photography and podcast studios, with facilities for clients to watch production in action.

The building is currently behind scaffolding while the final interior fit-out is completed, but we expect to be moving in June – and welcoming clients very shortly after!

A growing media business

Since joining Immediate in 2011, the company’s Bristol division has doubled in size, and now employs around 500 talented people who work across a wide range of professions; from journalism, sales and design, to video production, digital and app development. As well as us in the Immediate Branded Content team, the Bristol office is home to some of the UK’s best-loved consumer brands, including BBC History Magazine, BBC Focus, BBC Wildlife Magazine, BBC Countryfile, Mollie Makes, BikeRadar and Cycling Plus.

The move to Eagle House signals the health and success of the business, providing room to grow and expand. The Bristol division makes up an important part of the larger Immediate business, with its headquarters in London and further offices in Birmingham, Redditch and Manchester.

Andy Marshall, Immediate Media Group Managing Director, comments:

“I’m delighted that Immediate will be moving into such an iconic building in the very heart of Bristol. The move marks another step on our extraordinary journey of growth since we first came to Bristol 20 years ago. In that time, we have grown and developed into one of the UK’s most successful media businesses, part of an organisation with offices in London and Birmingham as well as Bristol. Our extensive refurbishment means our 500 Bristol staff members will be moving into state of the art offices which will help us to continue to propel our business forward in the decades to come. We are really excited to have found such a brilliant space in the middle of such a brilliant city!”

We look forward to welcoming all our clients to our new offices once we are settled in – invites will be on the way…
